Art In Games: Killzone 3

Killzone 3 had a lot going for it pre-release, especially after the full-on assault against the eye-glowing Helghan on their turf. However, Killzone 3 ultimately failed to provide that epic closure I had hoped for, unfortunately. It was almost… forgettable, even.

That said, it was a hell of a ride getting there. The scenery of Helghast portrayed in the game was amazing and even colorful, which is more than I can say for most pale, beige-coated shooters this generation. And while most of it can be credited to a number of concept artist involved in making it looked the way it did, the work of Jesse van Dijk and Miguel Angel Martinez caught my attention. Hopefully, they catch yours as well.
