Insomniac has put out more than enough games this generation. A total of four Ratchet & Clank games as well as three Resistance titles and the upcoming Overstrike make for eight different titles in about six year. Pretty impressive to say the least.
It’s understandable, then, that this Pinball game recently revealed by the developer bit the dust all the way back in 2007. A PSN-bound game titled 1080Pinball, it sported a futuristic vibe with an art style not far off that of Ratchet & Clank‘s. According to the dev’s Facebook page it “was intended to be the most realistic pinball simulation ever (including simulating weight of ball, gravity, and friction of table surface, as well as accurately modeling the ‘kick bumpers’), running in 1080p and 60 fps.”
The developer’s only other digital-only offering thus far was Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty, released about three years ago. Perhaps as we move onto new consoles, they’ll apply a greater focus to this space.
