It was a little under a month ago now that industry vet and GRAW developer Christian Allen launched a Kickstarter campaign to develop a hardcore tactical shooter for the sum of $200,000. This week, the campaign has drawn to a close, making $221,833 in total. Oh, and it now has a working title – Takedown.
Said Allen of the achievement: “OMG YOU GUYS DID IT!” At least try to sound enthusiastic man, sheesh.
This money raised will be used to show publishers that there is a market for the project. So it still has to get the green light from someone before we can officially say it’s coming.
The team has pledged that 5% of the game’s profits will go towards helping similar projects get their funding.
Now let’s all just sit back and hope that something actually comes of this.
