As we said in our Vita launch wrap up last week, Fun Bits’ Escape Plan was one of the handhelds more promising titles, sadly ruined by poor controls.
Very exciting news then; the developer has announced a patch to tweak controls and scoring systems in-game. The PlayStation Blog revealed that Fun Bits has used player feedback to allow for “pin-point accuracy on tap blocks, as well as an adjustment to the game’s Star Rating system.”
But wait! More exciting news! Also included in the patch will be a free prequel to the game’s campaign. This expansion, titled Bakuki’s Lair, adds 19 new puzzles to the mix. It’s part of the patch (which itself is 1.01) and this won’t need any extra downloading off of the PS Store.
It all arrives on April 10, so look out for it.
Finally, Fun Bits are promising more exciting updates in the future. Perhaps Escape Plan could turn from one of Vita’s most disappointing titles into one of its best.
