A Just Cause game for next-gen consoles would be the “perfect” fit, developer Avalanche Studios finds.
Studio head Christofer Sundberg, in his own words, has “a very strong emotional attachment” to the the open-world action franchise, “as it was created by me and my design team here.” With that in mind, he “would obviously like to see a very bright future for Just Cause.”
“In this day and age when everyone is struggling to make money, my opinion is that the JC IP is perfect for everything that next-gen has to offer,” he’s told EG.
Just Cause 3 is believed, and hoped, to be one of the three triple-A games currently in the works at the studio. One announcement is expected at E3 this summer but, while it’ll be running on a modified version of Just Cause 2‘s engine, it won’t be Just Cause 3, as said confirmed last month. A launch or an early title for the next Xbox and PlayStation then, perhaps? Please?
