Rumors have circled the web this week that Nintendo’s Wii U won’t even match the PS3 and 360 in terms of its graphical power.
Surprisingly, Nintendo has responded to such claims, though it hasn’t given any real indication of if this is the case or not. A company rep told Digital Trends: “We do not focus on technology specs. We understand that people like to dissect graphics and processing power, but the experience of playing will always be more important than raw numbers.”
With no denial about the system’s specs, does this give any weight to the rumors? And, if true, does it really matter? Wii U’s gameplay hook is clearly within the tablet controller, and a less powerful system would surely help the system’s launch price.
