Sonic designer joins Nintendo

A designer on the early Sonic titles, Hirokazu Yasuhara has taken a position at Nintendo. According to a Gamasutra report, the man left Namco Bandai in March and is now at Nintendo Software Technology, a North American Nintendo subsidiary.

It’s unclear though what exactly he’s up to over at Mario’s house.

Before Namco, Yasuhara spent six years at Naughty Dog working on Jak & Daxter, plus two years at Visual Concepts working on The Floigan Brothers.

While at Sega, he worked with Sonic co-creator Yuji Naka.
