You know what’s really sad? We haven’t seen an F-Zero game since the days of the Gamecube and Game Boy Advance. Captain Falcon may live on in the realm of Super Smash Bros., but we’re yearning for a new entry in the racer franchise.
Well we might just get that on Nintendo’s new system. Speaking to Edge (via) industry legend Shigeru Miyamoto reasoned that a new entry in the franchise could show up on Wii U, be it as a downloadable title or full retail releases.
“With Wii U coming up, maybe we could create something that does make sense, either as a smaller game, or a fully fledged title,” Miyamoto said. He cited the Wii’s limited hardware as a possible reason for the series’ absence this generation.
We’d love to see this one.
