Zynga offered Rovio $2 billion for Angry Birds

They say everybody has a price. If that’s true, then the price of Angry Birds creator Rovio must be pretty darn high; the company reportedly just turned down $2 billion from Zynga.

The staggering offer was an effort by the social games maker to acquire Rovio and the extremely valuable Angry Birds franchise. It’s no wonder that Rovio turned Zynga away, though. It’s clear they see Angry Birds as much more than just a mobile franchise, with a cartoon series set to launch later this year.

Can an “Angry Birds Land” in Florida be too far behind?
