Update 2: Ubisoft has now itself confirmed the title, though explaining that the video is not an announcement trailer.
A statement they’ve released reads: “An internal video showing images of Rayman Origins’ sequel has leaked over the Internet. This video was intended as a purely internal demonstrative video, and in NO way represents the final game, the final console or their features.
“This video was destined for internal production teams who often create game prototypes with work in progress development kits.”
Update: It’s real alright. A trailer has leaked, confirming a Wii U version as well as exclusive content it. Grab it below.
Original story:The rumor about Ubisoft creating a follow-up to its oh-so-colorful Rayman Origins have been backed up by new domain registrations from the French publisher.
Raymanlegends.com and rayman-legends.com now belong to the company, suggesting the new game’s name is, you guessed it, Rayman Legends.
The sequel news first came from a survey that slipped out, revealing that the game would include “legendary worlds filled with castles, vampires, ghosts, Greek Gods, or dragons.” The glove certainly fits then.
