Now you carry the moodyness of Max Payne 3 wherever; Rockstar’s announced the soundtrack for its upcoming slow-mo bullet-a-thon, due out later this month.
Health, an LA-based group formed in 2006 are behind the “hundreds of hours of amazing music” created for the game. According to soundtrack supervisor Ivan Pavlovich, it’s all “distilled it into a devastatingly moody and atmospheric soundtrack album.”
“By using a band instead of a traditional composer,” he says, “we’ve created a soundtrack that sounds completely unique.”
The track — “Tears” — heard in the game’s tv spot (below) will be available via iTunes alongside the game’s NA release on May 15, with the full soundtrack following on the 23rd.
