Zombies still popular, RE: Operation Raccoon City ships 2 million

Despite a rather lukewarm reception from critics, it seems like people are still into murdering the undead over and over again. Capcom just recently announced that the Slant Six developed Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City has shipped a rather impressive 2 million units between both the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game. I’m sure many smiles and handshakes are being exchanged amongst very important suit and tie business men.

While I have yet to actually play the game, so my opinions on it will be kept to myself for good measure, I find it quite interesting that Raccoon City sold so well in spite of the negative backlash from most critics. It goes to show just how popular the Resident Evil name still is. Or the simple fact that zombies seem to be the craze nowadays.
