Downloadable Pokemon titles for 3DS announced by Nintendo

To help get players caught up on all the pocket monsters they’ll be trying to wrangle in the upcoming Pokemon Black Version 2 and Pokemon White Version 2, Nintendo announced two new downloadable titles to be made available on the Nintendo eShop for 3DS.

Pokemon Dream Radar and Pokedex 3D Pro will hit the eShop sometime this fall, presumably right around the time Black 2 and White 2 hit store shelves. Pricing has yet to be detailed.

Dream Radar will make use of the 3DS’ camera and augmented-reality technology, putting gamers to the task of moving their 3DS around to find and catch hidden Pokemon in their surroundings. Caught Pokemon can then be transferred for use in Black 2 and White 2.

Pokedex 3D Pro functions as an upgraded version of the previously released Pokedex 3D downloadable title, though any Pokemon fanatic should be familiar with the concept. Pokedex 3D Pro will provide detailed information on more than 600 Pokemon, including a list of abilities and evolutions. Also making use of augmented-reality technology, trainers-in-training can take pictures of all known Pokemon in the real world after downloading the title.
