EA, Activision settle out of court

Publishing giants EA and Activision have decided to settle their differences over Jason West and Vince Zampella.

Back in 2010, Activision filed a complaint against EA, accusing it of attempting to poach the Call of Duty creators while still under contract with Activision.

The terms of the settlement were not disclosed, but the matter is closed.

“Activision and EA have agreed to put this matter behind them,” a joint statement from the publishers reads (via).

After being expelled from Infinity Ward, West and Zampella founded Respawn Entertainment. Their first game is backed by EA.

The Activision vs West/Zampella case is a different one, however, and looks to be only gaining steam. It’s scheduled to begin in less than two weeks, on the 29th.
