EA’s Origin service has opened its arms to crowd-funded games; all such projects can be distributed through the service free of any fees for the first 90 days, the publisher has announced.
That’s mighty nice of them.
One agreement already in place is for Wasteland 2. Developer inXile CEO Brian Fargo clearly welcomes the offer, calling the approach a “major economic bonus” for developers.

EA also provided a quick update on Origin’s user numbers. The service has grown to 12 million members, up by a cool million from March.
