A photograph of a revised Wii U controller surfaced on the internet earlier today. The picture was tweeted by a tester at Traveller’s Tales, an English software company, but was promptly removed. The image reveals some changes to the tablet controller’s original design, unveiled at last year’s E3 — the most significant of which is the exchange of circle pads (à la Nintendo’s 3DS) with true analog sticks.
Further images, confirmed legitimate by the photo, show that the new model is a bit longer and has more ergonomic handles. Whether or not this is the controller’s final design remains to be seen. We can expect to learn much more about the controller and the console itself at E3 in just a few weeks.
