Bungie’s first Activision-published game is due in 2013, and it’s looking to be an Xbox exclusive.
The bits come from the actual contract between the publisher and developer — they were among court documents prepped for the Activision vs Jason West/Vince Zampella trial — which show that the Halo creator is working on a “sci-fantasy action” property with four games and as many expansions planned. They’re said to be MMO shooters, for now known only as “Destiny.”
According to the contract, the first game will be out next fall, with others following every other year. Expansions will be released in the years between.
The first game is will apparently launch on Xbox 360 and the next Xbox only, with a PS3 version possibly developed for fall of 2014. The second one is slated for the 360, as well as next-gen Xbox and PlayStation.
Next to the expansions, smaller DLCs will are planned as well.
We still don’t know what the games are actually about then, nor how they play. But this is a start, yeah?
