Troubles at Kingdoms of Amalur house 38 Studios appear to continue; the Rhode Island EDC board has decided not give financial assistance to the developer after it had temporary trouble paying its loan and employees. The money situation remains the same from a week ago, though there have been an unspecified number of layoffs and some internal shifts, whatever that means.
While not commenting on those developments, studio founder Curt Schilling has shared that they’re “not asking the taxpayers for more money.”
He also said: “There’s so much misinformation out there I cannot begin to clear it up with a sound bite.”
The studio last week released a flythrough video of its upcoming Project Copernicus MMO, which is expected next summer.
