EA Canada looks to be in the early stages of setting up a new intellectual property.
A job ad for a lead gameplay designer (via) tells us that the studio is looking for someone with a “proven track record of designing and balancing combat, player controls, and AI for AAA shooters or action games.”
“Deep knowledge of the action/shooter game genre” is also needed. Whoever gets chosen will be tasked with driving “the player progression experience to ensure a deep and addictive persistent online experience.”
That said, it doesn’t sound like a formal announcement for this one is in the cards just yet; the ad notes that the new hire and creative directer must still “plan and define all components of the game, including its setting, structure, rules, story flow, characters, objects, vehicles, interface design and game modes.”
