Rainbow 6 Patriots, which Ubisoft announced last November for a 2013 release, was missing from E3 this week. Ubisoft marketing VP Tony Key has provided an update, saying it simply wasn’t the right time to show off the title.
“Let’s just say that Rainbow 6 is still in active development but what we decided was that the best thing for the brand was to not bring it to the show right now.”
Not that Ubisoft really needed it, anyway. The publisher had the strongest E3 press conference by some measure, with a whole heap of quality presentations.
Key added: “We have a lot of other games that we want to focus people on and there will be more information on Rainbow coming.”
The publisher recently shuffled creative leads on the project, but development was said to progress with few changes.
