Valve tech to be used in upcoming movie

Not content with their domination over the world of PC games, Valve are looking to branch out into the movie business.

Technology based on Valve’s Source engine will be used in the creation of a new animated feature film by director Shane Acker, whose claim to fame is 2009’s “9”. The current project, “Deep,” is outlined in a report in the Chicago Tribune. The movie is set in a post apocalyptic world where the remainder of society live under the sea in the hulls of sunken ships. Not bad for technology that debuted way back in 2004.
