Just a few weeks ago, EA’s David DeMartini said that the publisher’s digital distribution service Origin would not be seeing 75% off discounts as competitor Steam has the habit of throwing, saying it “cheapens your intellectual property.” Well, turns out that was a load of crock.
Origin is right now holding a sale where it offers the likes of Dragon Age: Origins, Dead Space 2, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and its Vietnam expansion, all among its highest rated and loved games, for 75% off. Not only that, third-part games Darksiders II and Batman: Arkham Asylum enjoy similar discounts. Odd.
