New IP still on Ubisoft’s agenda

Anybody who saw Ubisoft show off Watch Dogs, their new action-adventure cyber conspiracy game, will no doubt be looking forward to seeing what else they have up their sleeves. Well, good news, it looks like they aren’t out of ideas just yet. Ubisoft’s North American executive director Laurent Detoc let slip to Polygon that the company plans to release “one [or] two good new IPs” every year.

“Last year we brought you Rocksmith, and every year you will find one, two, depending on the year, good new IPs from Ubisoft.”

With the current economic climate looking rather bleak it’s nice to see that the industry isn’t going to just sit back and play it easy with wave upon wave of sequels. Even so, these look awesome.
