Crytek’s CryEngine 3 tech is up and running for Wii U, founder and CEO Cevat Yerli has revealed. Not only that, “a respected developer” has a game in the works for the system.
Crytek itself isn’t developing for the system, saying they lack “a business case” that would justify such a move. That decision “doesn’t mean that CryEngine 3 doesn’t run on Wii U,” however. “It actually runs beautifully,” Yerli says.
“In fact, there actually is a game in development from a respected developer that we will be announcing. I’ve seen the game running and it looks really great.”
Going by those words and Yerli believing the system is at least as powerful as Xbox 360, I guess we can expect the game, whatever it is, to look as nice as Crysis 2 does on consoles.
