The library of Nintendo’s portable eShop is getting a big boost this summer. From July 5 until August 1, two new virtual console titles will be released every week. In addition, from now until July 24, the Game Boy classic Super Mario Land is being made available for just $2.99.
It’s all part of Nintendo’s “8-Bit Summer,” a promotion that should keep 3DS fans busy whenever the weather becomes too hot to enjoy life outside. Some of the classics being made available are The Legend of Zelda (NES original), Kirby’s Pinball Land, Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3, and Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters.
If the weather becomes as unbearably hot as it was on the east coat of the United States this week, retreating to the shade with a classic game won’t seem like a very bad idea at all.
