Capcom’s Dragon’s Dogma has become a million shipping baby for developer/publisher Capcom; retailers worldwide have ordered in over a million copies of the west-flavored RPG, the company’s announced.
That may not mean it’s crossed the one million mark as far as sales to consumers are concerned, but it’s enough to break Japan’s week-one sales for new IP in the last 10 years.
In addition, Capcom vows to turn the game into a major franchise. So expect a Dragon’s Dogma 2.
The game’s out now on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
