Revealed last September, Japanese players are finally getting closer to being able to play the next Monster Hunter for the Nintendo 3DS.
Capcom has confirmed a Spring 2013 release window, and with that the killer app for Japan, and the driving force behind handheld sales, has been determined.
In the past Monster Hunter has helped balloon the sales of Sony’s PSP, and even after the Vita was announced and released still rivaled and even surpassed its successor at times.
Now, with no confirmed Vita release, it seems Nintendo has been given the saving grace it needs to stay on top in terms of sales.
Capcom released a port of Monster Hunter 3 for 3DS titled Monster Hunter 3 G, in December of last year, and while that hasn’t been confirmed for a Western release, there may be hope left for the fourth interation.
