High end games in our web browsers, who’d of thunk it. But that’s exactly the world we live in. In the near future though, what streaming games provider Gaikai — which was recently purchased by Sony, by the way — has in store for us is AAA games through a browser with no downloads.
That’s exactly what the company was demoing at Google I/O 2012 last week.
During its presentation, the company used Epic Games’ Bulletstorm to show off the improved tech, but while the service currently requires Java, this version was running without it, or any necessary downloads at all.
Catch the demo in the video below, with the whole thing running off a Samsung Chromebox.
