Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima sat down for an interview with popular Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu this week, where he revealed that the game will receive trophy support via a patch. It is expected that newly released copies under the best sellers label will ship with the trophy support, while those who already own the game will have to download the patch from the Playstation Network.
In the interview, Kojima also announced that Konami will be holding an anniversary event for the Metal Gear series, celebrating 25 years of great gaming. It is expected that there will be a big announcement at the event which will be held in Tokyo. Speculation is that the announcement will pertain to a title Kojima envisions “connecting” players. There is speculation that this connectivity is somehow related to the “transfarring” feature which was found in Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.
