EA has announced that the next title in the Army of Two series will be titled Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel, marking the third in the series. Know for its gritty co-operative play, The Devil’s Cartel aims to be even more gritty and mature than the previous title. Playing as Alpha and Bravo, players are dropped into Mexico right in the middle of a drug war with tasks reeking of corruption and deceit.
“We wanted to refresh the Army of TWO franchise for a new generation of action gamers, and at the same time, stay true to the core concept that really made the first two games fan favorites,” said Julian Beak, Executive Producer, Visceral Games. “With meaningful, seamless co-op gameplay at its core and explosive new tag-team features, gamers will have to work together tactically and strategically as they push through a city dominated by one of Mexico’s deadliest drug cartels.”
Known for its customization, this Army of Two title is poised to offer even more options to distinguish individual players online or off. Available March 2013, we’ll see if The Devil’s Cartel pushes the co-operative envelop like its predecessors.
