Earlier today, Namco Bandai released a statement to the press which revealed the games which they plan to demonstrate at Gamescom 2012. A number of titles will be available for play, including Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, One Piece: Pirate Warriors, Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch and Tank! Tank! Tank! for the Nintendo Wii U.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 promises new one on one modes which will offer a new aspect to the game play, look for it 09.11.2012.
They also announced that they will be demoing their new Star Trek game, simply titled Star Trek, which will be available on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. The game reportedly takes place sometime after the events which took place in the J.J Abrams reboot of the franchise, and follows Captain James T. Kirk and Mr. Spock on an action filled adventure.
Namco Bandai had this to say about the experience they hope to offer in Star Trek:
“Built from the ground up as the ultimate co-op experience, players are set on a journey of immense proportions across unexplored planets and enemy battleships with the latest 23rd century weapons and gear. Kirk and Spock’s complementary personalities result in the most fully realized and varied co-op experience for this console generation.”
Sounds interesting. I can’t remember the last time I played a good Star Trek game, although I was a fan of Star Trek: Voyager Elite Force for the PC back in the day.
