THQ throws the lid on Insane.

Bad news horror fans.  It looks like you’ll have to stick with page collecting in Slender for now, because THQ has just announced the cancellation of one of their highly anticipated 2013 titles.

Insane was introduced back in 2011 as a game from the mind of legendary filmmaker Guillermo del Toro.  Known for his fantastical, surrealist take in the film industry in movies such as Blade II, Hellboy, and of course, Pan’s Labrynth, die hard horror fans were hungry for any details they could get on Insane.  Little more than a trailer was released upon the game’s announcement, and since then, no other footage was released.  The Insane series was planned as a trilogy, and del Toro was working in tandem with Saints Row developers Volition.

All hope, however, isn’t lost.  A glimmer of light may remain for Insane as THQ has passed the rights on to del Toro.  What the filmmaker decides to do with the IP remains unknown.  With del Toro now holding onto the property, what would you like to see him do with Insane?  Let us know in the comments down below.
