Blizzard enhances Diablo III endgame by announcing new Paragon system

Well this is interesting. Blizzard has heard all the complaints about the endgame content in Diablo III and has announced the first major step in rectifying this problem, the Paragon system.

In basic terms, once a character has reached level 60, that player can start to earn an additional 100 Paragon levels. With each Paragon level obtained  your character will see an increase in two areas. First, core stats such as Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, and Vitality in amounts similar to what you’d gain from a normal level. Secondly, each Paragon level will give your character 3% Magic Find and 3% Gold Find. In addition to the stat bonuses your character will receive a visual border that is supposed to get more epic as your Paragon level continues to grow. Blizzard has stated that it will take a lot of work to obtain these Paragon levels, so to help you out, the Nephalem Valor bonus will give a 15% experience increase to get those levels a little faster.

One of the major goals of this new system is to have players move away from having to stack items with Magic/Gold find. Magic/Gold find will now be capped at 300% which is equal to Paragon level 100. Blizzard hopes this will make gear swapping easier and give light on more important stats for future items.
