Ubisoft reveals Might and Magic Heroes VI Danse Macabre expansion

Today, Ubisoft has announced that Might and Magic Heroes VI (anyone else remember when the series was called Heroes of Might and Magic?), the most recent game set in the Might and Magic universe, is receiving a second adventure pack titled Might and Magic Heroes VI Danse Macabre. In addition to this expansion, Ubisoft is also releasing Might and Magic Heroes VI Gold Edition, which includes the game and both adventure packs. Both will be available for Windows PC’s on September 28th, 2012.

Might and Magic VI Danse Macabre is said to add 10 hours of gameplay to the campaign. The adventure pack will also feature an artifact set, a unique building, new heroes, and a new pet. The Gold Edition, in addition to the game and two expansions, will also have an exclusive map that will allow players to take part in the succession wars on the original Might and Magic world of Enroth (i.e. you get to play some of the events of Heroes of Might and Magic III, only much prettier).

This news gives me hope that Enroth is not forgotten and that maybe, just maybe, we will someday get Might and Magic X. Although this is likely a fools hope. Might and Magic Heroes VI Danse Macabre Adventure Pack and The Gold Edition will both be available to download on Ubishop, Steam, and other digital retailers.
