In an announcement to the press today, Capcom has revealed that a demo for their highly anticipated title Resident Evil 6 will be made available via Xbox Live and the Playstation Store on September 18th. The demo will let players get a taste of what Capcom has put together for the anticipated entry in the series. A previous demo was offered to those who purchased Dragon’s Dogma, but this demo promises to offer completely different content. Sounds good.
The game offers three main storylines. The demo will allow gamers to play as Leon or Helena as they explore the “dark corridors and moonlit grounds of Ivy University”, one of the locales in-game. There is also a mission with Jake and Sherry Berkin which takes place in the neon-lit streets of Lanshiang, as well as a mission with Chris Redfield and Piers Nivans in Edonia.
These global locales make Resident Evil 6 stand out from prior games in the series, look for the game October 2nd on PS3 and Xbox 360, with a PC release sometime shortly after.
