Steam Big Picture Beta Available Today

Steam has officially announced that a beta for their huge update, entitled “Big Picture”, will be available today for download. This is huge news for steam users, as it will allow them to finally play some of their favorite games on their big screen HDTV, which is usually reserved for console gaming.

This new update lets gamers connect their PC or Mac to a TV, where they can take advantage of a brand new full-screen user interface. Big Picture has been designed to be used with a traditional game controller, which some players prefer to use on certain games. Big Picture also fully supports keyboard and mouse input (if that’s what you’re in to). Big Picture will also include a new web browser designed for televisions and game controllers.
