The highly anticipated expansion for World of Warcraft, Mists of Pandaria hits retailers today giving players a chance to explore the exciting land of Pandaria and meet its Panda-like inhabitants the pandaren. The expansion focuses overall on the continuing conflict between the realms of the Alliance and the Horde – good news for those looking to get back into the games roots.
“Mists of Pandaria takes players back to the roots of World of Warcraft — exploration, discovery, and the epic conflict between the Alliance and the Horde,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. “It also contains the widest variety of content that we’ve ever added in an expansion, and we’re excited to be able to share it with players around the world this week in our first truly global launch.”
The expansion also features a new class (the monk), a new level cap (at 90 now) and an all new pet-battle system which will allow you to pit your pet against others in the World of Warcraft. The expansion comes with a price tag of $39.99 for the standard edition. There is also a special edition which comes with the additional features:
