Today Sony took the wraps off of a program called  “PSN Day 1 Digital”. This is a new initiative that promises major releases to be available for download through the PlayStation Network on launch day. PlayStation Vita fans know that this is something Sony alreadys does with Vita games but it look like now the PlayStation 3 is going to get the same treatment.

As someone who is running out of space for all his game boxes I hope this is a trend that expands to all titles and all platforms. We do know that Nintendo intends to sell digital game day one with the Wii U. What do you guys think?
