Everyone knows about The Avengers, but man, Marvel is hitting hard lately with their movies and games, all of which are highly anticipated. Today, Ubisoft announced that Marvel Avengers Battle for Earth will be available for consumers to demo at New York Comic Con from October 11 through the 14th. Any of you dashing New Yorkers will be able to test your might on two separate areas of the NYCC floor. Additionally, anyone who pre-orders the game at the debut will receive a code to redeem a digital comic, The Avengers by Brian Michael Bendis Vol.1 Collection #1-6 which will be available in the Marvel digital store. Are your spidey senses tingling yet? Oh woops.. wrong hero. Regardless, any comic geek should drool over a Vol 1 collection.
Fans will also be able to learn more about the game from the development staff. BFE will be featured in the “Marvel Video Games” panel which will be held in Room 1E13 from 11:15am to 12:15pm on Saturday, October 13. Producer Pierre Leroux and Art Director Dan Vargas will be on stage with a special guest (Wolverine? Hulk? Gary Busey?) to give us some more details about this fascinating title.
If you’re just learning about this new found super power, BFE is a fighting style game set in an comic book style artistic world. Fans wont get bored easily from this fighting title due to multiple modes including co-op, campaign, arcade, challenges, versus and tournament. I like this as many fighting games grow dull after you’ve pounded so much face, you need the plethora of different styles to keep that game disc spinning.
Developed by Ubisoft Quebec, Marvel Avengers Battle for Earth will be released in North America on Kinect for Xbox 360 on October 30th and Nintendo’s Wii U system.
