Konami shows its fangs and unveils new trailer for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2

There is a brand spankin’ new trailer for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 available for all to see, though I believe it is the same one that was shown at the Spike VGA awards (now you don’t have to sift through the show in order to see it!). Konami unveiled the trailer today to whet fans appetite for the new title, due out sometime in 2013 for the 360, PS3, and PC platforms. The trailer is actually pretty awesome, and I like Dracula’s voice (performed by Robert Carlyle, who sounds SO FRIGGIN’ CLASSY).

The video shows off a modern day setting (upon which an ancient castle overlooks the city?!), with Dracula waking up from a long nap, and he looks like a grandpa. He begins to remember his past and how cool he was, and you see all sorts of cool things that I won’t share because you can just WATCH THE VIDEO. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 takes place right after the epilogue of the first one, and gamers will get a chance to experience a story that spans several centuries. The graphics are great and the world is very open-ended (Grand Theft Vampire); owed in large part to the new Mercury Engine 2 game engine.

Be prepared to face more than one Belmont in order to preserve your castle and maintain your powers. Video below!
