Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, the first expansion pack for Capcom’s million seller, Dragon’s Dogma, is getting closer! New details have just come down the pipe from Capcom. The DLC will take gamers on an all new quest upon the Bitterblack Isle, where loot and treasure await.
The company promises that gamers who have already beaten the first installment of the series will be able to transfer their data and continue their quests as the Arisen, while newcomers will be granted the chance to begin the journey from the ground up. Veterans have the upper hand, however, as they’ll be rewarded with extra goodies for their time spent on the first game. New weapons, armor sets, skills and augments await them, as do 100,000 Rift Crystals, unlimited Ferrystones, and six brand new costumes. They’ll score all this loot for free upon purchase of the expansion.
Capcom has listened to player feedback, and will implement gameplay improvements into Dark Arisen. Players can expect a more intuitive menu system, easier travel, the option to select a Japanese voice over, and more. Previous players of Dragon’s Dogma will have these improvements automatically retrofitted to their original game save data.
North America will recieve Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen for XBOX 360, PS3, and PSN on April 23, for $39.99.
