Trine 2: Director’s Cut gets a free neat update for the WiiU

Frozenbyte has announced that an update to its action game Trine 2: Director’s Cut is now available for the WiiU through the North American Nintendo eShop. The many features of this FREE update include:

Support for WiiU Pro Controller – now players can use the VERY 360-like WiiU Pro Controller to play through this fantasy adventure.

Voice Chat for online multiplayer – gamers can chat with their buddies by talking/screaming/cursing through the WiiU GamePad or any headset.

Improved graphics renderingTrine 2: Director’s Cut will really jump out of your television screen now with updated brighter and more vibrant colors (all without relying on a 3-D gimmick, no less!).

Optional German vocals – for all the players from the Deutschland.

Various minor gameplay features and fixes – Frozenbyte squashed those bugs under their mighty foot so everyone can have a seamless, magical journey.

Trine 2: Director’s Cut is available now through the eShop for $20. It contains 20 levels, which include the Goblin Menace expansion and the WiiU exclusive Dwarven Caverns, making this the definitive version of the game for all to get. Here is a launch trailer to whet your appetite!
