First trailer released for Obscure from Focus Home Interactive

Focus Home Interactive and developer Mighty Rocket Studio have released a new trailer for their upcoming side-scrolling shooter Obscure. The game reportedly combines influences from “teen and horror” flicks and television shows with fast-paced two dimensional action, and will be released on PC, PSN and Xbox Live this spring.

If you recognize the title, it’s because they’ve used acquired the licencing to the prior horror-survival¬†Obscure games that were 3D based. This game looks nothing like those however, as Mighty Rocket Studios has taken a totally different approach, which may disappoint fans of the earlier Obscure titles.

The trailer seems interesting, but will the game be able to shine among so many other excellent 2D titles available these days? Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think of the early look at the game.
