Another game that was previously released on PS3 and Xbox 360 will be re-released onto the Wii U. Following Batman: Arkham City, Mass Effect 3 and others, The Amazing Spider-Man is being tailored to the Wii U to be released on March 8th. The game was released to moderate acclaim with it’s release on PS3 and Xbox 360, receiving a Metacritic score of 71 and the Wii U version should be in line with the game’s strengths. By giving all the DLC and using the GamePad’s strength, this version has the potential to improve significantly. The game takes place shortly after the events of the movie and allows you to take control of Peter Parker in a open world environment.
The Wii U version offers new game-play options along with several DLC packages includes with the game When you buy the game you will receive:
Stan Lee Adventure Pack: This allows you to play as Stan Lee as if he had super powers. You’ll be able to swing around New York City as Stan to try and collect missing pages to his latest script. The character is voiced by Stan Lee himself and if you collect all the pages, you’ll receive a special award.
Lizard Rampage Pack: This puts you in the shoes of Dr. Connor’ alter-ego, The Lizard, as you race though the streets of New York taking on Oscorp guards.
Rhino Challenge: This lets you play as one of Spider-Man’s greatest foes, The Rhino, as you try to cause as much destruction as possible before the timer runs out.
Oscorp Search and Destroy Pack: Includes 2 mini-games through Spider-Man’s cell phone.
New Costumes: This includes the Vigilante suit from the movie and the Classic suit from the original trilogy.
Wii U Features: Allows you to use the Wii U GamePad to access Spidey’s in-game cell phone. You’ll be able to accept new challenges, navigate the city and manage his upgrades. Players will also have an Off-screen Mode which lets users swap instantly between playing on the big screen and the GamePad whenever they choose.
