Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX unlocking hearts on PS3s this fall

Finally some news regarding one of my favorite cross-overs, Kingdom Hearts! Square Enix announced today that the ridiculously named Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX will be heading to North America and Europe this fall, exclusively on PS3. This collection of Kingdom Hearts Final Mix and its direct follow-up Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories will be fully remastered in HD. In addition, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX will contain HD cinematic videos from the EVEN MORE LUDICROUSLY TITLED DS game, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. Expect some enhanced gameplay mechanics and PS3 Trophy support, as well.

I have been DYING to play Kingdom Hearts Final Mix since my PS2 days, clamoring for it to be released in the US so I could check out the extra bosses and cutscenes. I played the original Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories on the GBA back in the day, but never got the chance to play its upgraded PS2 port (and never played the DS game, either!), so I am happy to see all of this stuff I missed out on get released together in HD in one fantastic collection.

More information on Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX (I keep having to double-check the correct spelling of this and it is driving me CRAZY) can be found right here. I look forward to getting a PS3 so I can play this (though I have a feeling Kingdom Hearts 3 will only be ready when the PS4 comes out). I love Sora, Riku, Kairi, and Disney SO MUCH and grew up along with them, so don’t judge me and my excitement!
