In an announcement made to the press today, Spider Studios and Focus Home Interactive have unveiled their newest RPG title, Bound by Flame, which will reportedly be released by the end of 2013 on Xbox 360, PS3, as well as the PC.
The game follows a mercenary protagonist who is reportedly possessed by a “flame demon” which gives him added powers. However, in an added twist to the interesting dark theme, players can either choose to accept the evil influence or reject it and develop heroic powers instead. Sounds interesting – although the good vs. evil decisions have been utilized by games in the past, so it will be intriguing to see Spider Studio’s take on the idea.
The choices made by players will reportedly greatly affect the story line and outcome of the game, which should keep things interesting and add replay value. The game will also reportedly include deep character customization, a crafting system and epic monsters (such as the one seen in the only released screenshot thus far above).
Look for the game fourth quarter 2013.
