Ubisoft confirms Splinter Cell Blacklist for Wii U is a thing that is happening

Today, Ubisoft has confirmed that Sam Fisher’s latest terrorist romp, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist, is heading for Nintendo’s Wii U on August 20th in North America, August 22nd in EMEA territories, and August 23rd in the UK. The Wii U version of Blacklist will offer players a one-of-a-kind experience not found on other consoles, as gamers use the new GamePad controller to operate gadgets, utilize the new, slow-motion Killing in Motion technique to kill enemies on the go and move through various locations stealthily and efficiently (I was afraid this was going to be a dancing mini-game and Sam would have to bust-a-move in order to finish off his adversaries, Space Channel 5-style), and switch between weapons with the touch of a finger, as the model with the most impeccable hands is showcasing in the above screenshot. Expect more GamePad features and motion-based inputs to be used for Nintendo’s new box of wonder and magic. More information on Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist can be found at the game’s official site.
