To the surprise of absolutely no one, EA Sports has announced that they will be releasing FIFA 14 in fall of this year, as they typically do. The one surprise is that they haven’t announced it for all potential platforms, though they did state that additional platforms will be announced in the weeks to come. For now, they noted that the game will be available for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, with no mention of the upcoming PS4 in November, PS VITA or Wii U. This doesn’t mean that there won’t be a FIFA game at the launch of PS4 or on those other platforms, but it doesn’t guarantee it.
This year’s edition, FIFA 13, was released to high critical acclaim and EA will look to build on its success. They aim to make scoring goals more rewarding by having improved build up play and improved AI along with it. They are also looking to improve dribbling as it can be a bit off when players try to dribble while in full sprint. Fans can also expect enhancements to online play, the Ultimate Team Mode and to the EA Social Club.
The game will most probably be an improvement over FIFA 13, but will it be worth waiting until PS4 to get an improved version?
