Techland, the developer who brought gamers Dead Island and Call of Juarez, has announced a new first-person co-op slashy slash game: Hellraid (formerly known as the much lamer Project Hell). Billed by Techland as two games for the price of one (THE VALUE); both a story-driven single-player campaign and a co-op multiplayer that pits four peeps against literal hellspawn. Hellraid looks like it has something for everybody (except the dating sim demographic).
Hellraid mishmashes elements from hack and slash RPGs, first-person shooters, and online multiplayer games to create a unique title full of ranged, magical, and melee weapons. Users can look forward to random online challenges with different loot and enemy placement every time they play, as well as weapon crafting, massive armor customization, and leaderboards to brag about how great they are.
Developer blogs, screenshots, and all the scant information on Hellraid can be found at its website, with more to come. Look for this FIERY title later this year on the PC, 360, and PS3.
