Valve announced that its new service, Steam Trading Cards, has released today in beta. This new service will reward gamers for playing games on the Steam service.
Through the new Steam Trading Card service, gamers will receive game-specific trading cards that can be collected to earn rewards like game badges, profile backgrounds, emoticons, and coupons.
Here are the titles that will initially offer trading cards: Don’t Starve, Dota 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Team Fortress 2, Portal 2 and Half-Life 2. Valve plans to expand its trading card offering to more games as the service picks up speed.
